2nd elective cesarean, but different experience..

as mentioned in my previous post, i had azim through elective cesarean and the experience is different from what i went through with ayra..

i would say the same thing was fear. cesarean is a major operation. elective or not. anything could go wrong during this major operation. i was also scared shit about the spinal anesthetic. i hate needles. i mean who doesnt kan.

so when i was prepped for the spinal anaes, i was really really scared.. with ayra, i remembered being injected 3 times. and i was knocked out almost immediately. i was in a deep sleep throughout the whole operation until someone woke me up to tell me she is going to push ayra from the top of my tummy and when she told me ayra's umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck.

this time around, i only felt 2 injections. i kept on zikir and hugging the nurse in front of me. it was really really painful. i cant imagine how an epidural would feel like. and then i was waiting to fall asleep. but i didnt. i kept asking myself bila nak tido ni.. to my horror, i could see the reflection of what they were doing to me through the operation lights. stories of my friend's czer experience of this particular moment flashed through my mind. all i could think of was "so this is what they have been telling me. the reflection. omg, what is that. omg ok they are cutting me now.." so throughout the whole operation i kept glancing at the light and quickly looked away. the only time i really looked was when the surgeon told the anaes doc and head nurse to push the baby. watching azim came out, and hearing him cry made me cry. i didnt cry with ayra because i was too high hahahaha!! and then when azim was out, i immediately looked away because i saw blood and heard the surgeon said "suction.. suction.." a few times. i did not need to hear that!! m such a coward hahaha..

anyway i only found out they changed the painkiller right before the stitching work. i fell asleep and woke up and fell asleep a few times until they were done stitching.

but what i was a bit disappointing to me this time was they did not show my baby to me. they didnt tell me anything about my baby. time ayra ada jugak tunjuk sekejap before they took her away.

when i had ayra, i was so out due to the painkiller they gave me that i was hardly present after the operation. with azim, i was feeling much much better. experienced shivering profusely right after the operation, which i didnt experience with ayra because i was so out of it. but, at least i didnt vomit and i could entertain visitors after my operation hehe..

day after the operation is another fear. to get up from the bed and go to the toilet. i remember during ayra's time, the bed had to be at the lowest height and i was holding on to ajoy sooooo hard i think i could break his arm.. and it was really hard for me to walk too.. terbongkok2 and very2 slow.. and the thought of getting off the bed again during ayra's time really scared me. suprisingly alhamdulillah i would say this time it was a lot easier for me to get off and on the bed..

of course having some ease in certain things would also mean mesti ada benda lain yg tak berapa best hihihi.. unfortunately my darah nifas did not flow. so the nurse had to shake my tummy. yes, with my very newly stitched uterus. and she shook hard. it was so painful i felt like slapping her! but i persevered because i know she was just doing her job.. tahan je la.. *sob sob*

before i was discharged, nurse came and told ajoy and i that we have to inject me 5 consecutive days, twice a day with blood thinner med. we were like woahhhh what??? takde pun time ayra.. apparently KKM made it compulsory to prevent blood clot incident in czer patients. so the nurse taught us how to administer the injections at home. scary giler siot..

tp when we arrived home baru perasan the needle to "pull" the meds was not included.. day after day ajoy tak sempat sempat nak pegi umra amik that needle until our appointment to remove my bandage came. alhamdulillah doctor said i dont have to do the injection because i was moving a lot. so blood clot may not happen to me insyaAllah. nasib baik jenis tak reti duk diam hahaha.. with boundaries of course.. jgn marah aina k..

ok tu je nak citer.. azim da bangun. nak susu dah.. (takde reason lain kan.. hahaha..)

ok bye..
