mcm lamanyer tak blogging hehehe.. well m sure all mothers wud understand tat m still finding my pace and understanding Ayra's pattern.. up till today pun lum set lg pattern dia actually.. i guess it is perfectly normal for a baby yg barely 2 weeks old kan..
so most of u wud know how adamant i am to exclusively breastfeed Ayra kan.. thing is listening to theories and reading about them is wayyyyy easier 'said' than done.. when it comes to actual scenario rupanyer it is not easy wehhhhh.. esp when our baby plak awal2 da dpt botol dulu in hosp (coz i was on painkiller kan).. so to ease the confusion btwn bottle teat n mine tue takes time la kut kan.. pakai botol tak yah bukak mulut besar2..
tats wat happened with Ayra.. dia xmo bukak mulut dia, even tho i knw we cant sumbat our nipples into her mouth tp dia tgh lapar mana pikir dah.. sumbat gak.. lama2 amik ko, sakit nk mampus!! sbb dia tak latch betul2.. paling horror bila dia tgh lapar yg amat, pastu suck our nipple agaknyer tak kuar apa2 sbb mulut dia bukan kat areola kan so she retaliated by kicking and pushing my breasts away.. sedih giler rasa time tu.. why is she rejecting me.. sob sob..
on 3rd day (19th Jul), we noticed muka dia mcm da start ada kuning2.. and nk jadikan citer on 3rd day tu gak la susu mcm da kurang.. m sure it is because of the wrong-latching issue so my breast is not sending any signal to my brain to produce milk.. makin la rasa sedih.. the one thing i could do but i couldnt and she may get sick because of me!!
thankfully my sis in law tgh byk susu coz her son was born 11 days before Ayra.. so Ayra menyusu dgn my SIL dulu while i do power pumping.. tu pun suggested by my SIL.. kalau tak, mmg tak teringat langsung.. malam tu kitaorg nk gi rumah imam besar masjid s.alam for tahnik, b4 kuar rumah pun Ayra menyusu with my SIL lg.. and again malam2 buta.. so da jd adik beradik susuan da Ayra and cousinnya Tareq.. :) and tat nite gak, alhamdulillah susu mula keluar balik..
sbnrnyer balik dr tahnik tu i wanted to powerpump lg and somehow got so caught up with emotions, feeling like a failure sbb tak dpt breastfeed my baby, my baby lapar bcoz of me, etc.. nasib baik ada husband yg sgt supportive.. ajoy pujuk me and asked me to be patient.. jgn stress.. mlm tu air mata mcm air terjun kuar..
the next day bwk Ayra gi klinik kesihatan for jaundice checkup.. xnk tggu smpi teruk baru nk btindak kan.. alhamdulillah her jaundice is at a low point whc was 151.4..
monday 22nd Jul gi umra plak, it was the day my bandage was to be taken off and check Ayra skali.. unfortunately jaundice Ayra naik ckit to 209.. the Paed said it is normal to be up on 6th day.. hari tu gak actually b4 leaving for umra i fed Ayra and nipple bdarah.. ada darah kat baju Ayra tp i didnt notice pun.. the nurse asked me with a very concerned look "ni kenapa ada darah kat baju dia ni???" nasib baik ada explanation.. cara dia tny mcm i dera anak i plak haha.. but the concern is genuine n m glad they are..
tat same nurse then thought me how to breastfeed.. and m glad she did.. now Ayra is getting better at latching even tho sometimes malas benor nk bukak mulut besor2.. hihihi..
on her 8th day we had another check up at KK (klinik kesihatan) for Ayra's jaundice and alhamdulillah da turun to 160++, tak igt lak brp.. nurse's advice is just to continue breastfeeding.. next check up is next wednesday.. harap2 turun lg or zero terus hehehehe..
