salam everyone..
yesterday and today i attended training on presentation that sells.. basically on presentation skills la.. and i had fun! one, bcoz it is usually very hard for me to get permission to attend any training.. two, usually when i do my boss will keep on bugging me for stuff but this time i managed to finish my training without much distraction from him.. yeayyyy.. hehehe.. three, the trainer chosen was superb in my point of view.. fourth, had the coolest team members hehe.. and fifth i learned a lot, m kinda geeky tat way.. :P
those who have prepared presentation materials would know that it is easier said than done.. it requires a large amount of effort, time, creativity and the ability to translate plain facts and info into interesting but concise presentation slides. so yes, sounds easy but in reality it is not.
therefore if the next time your colleague present something and you feel the need to comment, please do so constructively and not being critical to the point of criticizing. have some respect for your colleague. acknowledge the effort, thought, time, blood and tears being put into that presentation slides. put yrself in his/her shoes first b4 saying anything outloud and if u really need to voice it out, please do it in a proper tone of voice and choose your words and gestures carefully. or simply, think b4 u speak..
what i saw in these 2-days of a particular group was not pretty at all. ugly sight indeed. what they dont realise is they're merely highlighting the internal issues in our company to the trainer who is org luar obviously. sikit pun tak fikir dulu b4 ckp.. and some part memalukan diri sdri pun ada kihkihkih.. and these ppl are senior management ok.. sabar je la..
pastu when the time came for each group to prepare presentation slides, group2 yg konon pandai sgt ni la yg asyik nk tgk kitaorg buat apa and mcm mana.. i seriously dont get that.. sepjg dua hari duk tunjuk mcm korang terer giler, pandai sgt, da biasa buat presentation, so buat apa nk tgk what we're doing? thru out the 2 days, my group was the type yg voice out only when necessary or when we're questioned by trainer. we wanted to learn. we dont see the need to share our past experiences with the class. know why?? bcoz honestly, nobody wants to knw what we did dulu or in prev company. so what?? irrelevant!!
seeeshhhhhh.. some ppl juz cant keep their mouth shut and has that the need to brag.. and quite frankly, i've seen this everywhere where the loudest are usually the lousiest.. when it comes to exercising the knowledge we gained, tats when the truth will unveil.. sbb tu when we're learning, it is best to keep our mouth shut, open when necessary, but keep yr eyes and ears open.. bukak mulut ilmu tak masuk otak ok.. :P
