in some companies, their ceo knows everyone or only knows some names.. as for where i am working, our situation will be the latter. he only knows the senior management names, which is fine by most of us especially me as i do wish to be as invisible as i can in this company.
i am not the type who will be loud and opinionated to get my point across, or like some ppl just say anything to be heard. but when i do have something pertinent to get across, i do point out my view.
for 2 years plus, i know that he only calls me as "budak korea" because he knew i was responsible for our event in korea. some might be hurt because dia tak igt nama but i was very glad! hahahaha! ok i know some colleagues call me pelik..
so here i was seronok giler no care in the world, i went to the printer to collect my printing. as i was collecting the memo i printed, i greeted my colleagues who were nearby, they are all managers who were in today's management meeting.. this was what transpired between us:-
colleague 1: aina, td nama u kena sebut dlm management meeting.. dato' seri yg sebut..
me: (muka pucat) hah??!!! kenapa kenapa? aina buat apa???
colleague 2: dont worry, its a good thing.. (smile)
me: isy kak biar betul.. selalu dia panggil aina budak korea je.. sejak bila plak tau nama aina ni.. dia ckp apa?
colleague 1: dia ckp dia susah nk igt semua nama staff.. salah sorang yg saya ingat Sakina tu je
me: masyaAllah..
colleague 2: (menyampuk) dont worry.. it really is a good thing.. hehehehe..
me: ermmm ok hehehe..
then i went to my seat.. it then dawned on me what made him knew my name and remembered!!
a few weeks ago a ceo dialogue was held.. every staff have to tell him what we like about working here, and what we think have to be improved. the dialogue was conducted level by level and i was with senior executive and below. almost 90% of the room spoke of their unsatisfactory towards the HR department. and i belonged to the 10% who pointed out something other than masalah dgn HR kitaorg yg mengarut tu..
what did i say that made me memorable? i pointed about the lack of leadership in the company! furthermore, it was indirectly directed to my boss, VP and him! so even though i did not say their names outright but it was implied and yes i was literally putting my head on the chopping board kan kan kan?? hahahahahaha giler!
pastu nk jadi citer, nak balik td jumpa dia plak dah kat pintu depan.. mcm2 tny aku, duduk mana, area mana, dulu sblm kawin duduk mana, suami smpi kul brp, lama lagi ke kena tunggu, bla bla bla.. mcm nak hntr aku balik plak wakakakakaaka.. ok maybe i was delusional hahahaha! tp malu giler kut sbb baru je org citer dia sebut my name in the big meeting.. :P
