ayra's 8 mo development in a nutshell:
weighs 6.42kg
can sit well without support
crawling with faster pace
pulling herself up to stand while holding onto furniture, nowadays with one hand while the hand doing something else
loves to drop things and watching me pick it up
separation and stranger anxiety heightens
very alert with movements and responds well towards it
very choosy on where to be breastfed and sleep now
so many ppl told me - baby tak sah kalau tak jatuh katil. its been haunting me since the 1st person said tat to me. and ive been very careful not to let that happen. but one not so fine day, ayra only wants to sleep in our room. so naturally i placed her on our bed la, takkan atas lain lak kan hihi.. then i went out to do my housework whilst checking on her every few minutes.. when i saw she hasn't moved a muscle, i finally sat down with ajoy and watched tv outside. i only sat for a few mins when i heard a "thump" and a "ekkkkkkk"..
immediately ran to the room and saw the bed was empty and looked at the floor. there she was, lying face down on the floor together with my nursing pillow tat i've purposely placed kat tepi katil to some-wat tell her tats her boundary. it didnt work obviously. in tat instant second i picked ayra up and cried with her. masyaAllah i felt so guilty. and tat phrase "baby tak sah kalau tak jatuh katil" kept playing in my head all those while. curse tat phrase!!

the crying died down eventually and we tuam her benjol with ice.. since then if she wants to sleep in the room, i drop everything and just stay with her.
of course since the incidents and since she is very active now, what with the crawling and standing by herself, there were a few other episodes of terlanggar sana, terhantuk sini, but not as scary as the fall from our bed.
