stabbed. slapped. punched.

i cant believe i am back here blogging about breastfeeding.. to be specific - fully breastfeeding.. almost every mother i meet wishes to fully bf their child.. if possible up to 2 years.. some aims only up to 1 year.. for some if possible dpt 6 months pun da ok sgt da..

for how long they wish, it is their choice. and for how long one wishes but ended up only fully bf for a certain time, well we have to accept that is the rezeki ALLAH bagi to us.. especially if that mother dah cuba macam2 cara nak boost milk but rezeki setakat itu saje.. lupa kut ALLAH yg bagi rezeki susu ni..

to begin with, it is a mother's choice whether she wants to bf her baby or not. of course we all know it is hak anak kita. so itu antara the mother and Allah and her baby la kan.. but for most mothers i know personally, all wants to bf..

so to you, who are bf-ing your baby, i say congratulations for taking that path. but for you to judge me for mixing ayra's milk with formula when ayra was 5 months old is totally uncalled for. you dont even know my journey.. you dont even know what i went through during those times before ayra accepted formula milk into her diet.. and you gave me that look and asked me "5 bulan je fully bf?? so skrg mix la??" and then siap ckp "i drank a lot of water. maybe u didnt drink a lot of water..", and added with i did this, i did that, telling me maybe i shouldve done those things. wtf, i went through all that already la.. baru 2 bln bf da berlagak mcm da 6 bln n aku plak yg baru nk start..

oh wow.. oh wow.. i felt stabbed. slapped. punched in the stomach. kicked at the shin.. there i was congratulating you, praising you for fully breastfeeding yr baby.. and that's what you gave me when you asked how long my baby was fully bf.. oh wow.. thanx babe..

you just finished your maternity leave.. you just started work today.. baru dua bulan beb.. it means you havent walked through the journey of working breastfeeding mothers yet. some mothers dont hv problems like i did, but i learnt many moms have problems keeping up the stock once they started working. even yang freezer penuh smpi tak muat pun up to one point had to mix due to working schedule, tak sempat nk pump, etc.. every mother has her own journey..

if all works well for you, dpt fully bf for as long as you want then alhamdulillah.. i truly am happy for you. but dont judge other mothers just because they mix their babies' diet. learn their journey first before judging. ask why. if that mother mmg decide once start keje nk mix pun suka hati dia la.. her baby, her choice. your baby, your choice. simple as that.

tu belum tny other moms in the ofc lagi tu.. baru tny aku da buat muka mcm tu n tny soalan camtu.. to those who forgot, all moms in my office who had babies during the same time i had ayra did not fully bf, and ada yang tak bf langsung. i was the only one pumping at my ofc (except this one mom yg baby dia meninggal shortly after dia abis maternity leave).. mothers in my ofc does not support fully bf. their ideal is mix feeding.. lantak la kan.. masing2 punyer pilihan.. imagine dia tny mak2 yg lain ni, ntah caner ntah reaction dia..

sorry la kalau terasa tadi when i told you "every mom's journey is different. some have tried all they can possibly do but their bf journey tetap tak lama. nak buat macam mana. Allah yg decide, bukan kita.."
