before i write, i have to spill a lil bit of my history of how i became like this.. i wasnt brought up to watch malay movies and dramas.. in fact, baca novel melayu pun tak bole dulu.. kena baca curi2 kat sekolah, if i got caught reading malay novels at home mati ler aku hehehe.. same goes to watching malay movies and dramas..
bukan apa tau.. but it was my parent's teaching method to make sure we will be good in english language since at school we were surrounded with malay language anyways kan.. another reason was we had to speak ONLY english at home, 90% because my grandma & mom is english-speaking chinese.. so that kinda speak by itself kan..
so having said that, as we grew up, we were able to watch an occasional cerekarama but to my disappointment, they are almost always disappointing.. i've tried again n again to support the industry but got disappointed again n again..
one of the dramas that i have been waiting for is adam & hawa as mentioned in my previous entry. cliche or not it was a good novel.. however lately i felt that the stories mcm da deviate from the novel.. or the script became tasteless.. and tonite, we tried watching a malay tv movie, mmg mcm kelakar but unfortunately the music was too loud to the point that the dialogues were barely audible..
sometimes the camera zoomed too close to the actors/actresses.. sometimes the lines are too cheesy!! sometimes the plots are too predictable.. and cliche tu tak yah ckp la kan - the cinta antara darjat movies, the kena kawin paksa movies, the stupid comical movies, etc..
i just hope the industry will improve soon..
yesterday a line/question posed in adam & hawa got me so angry at the scriptwriter.. more of that later..
